About

Tan Tan Teatro

Tan Tan Teatro is a university theater group, founded and directed in Turin in May 2023 by Leonardo Mancini, as a meeting place and the development of artistic projects. Since September 2024, the group has been working on a production: Macbett by Eugène Ionesco (1972), which premiered in Lyon at the “Meraki” University Theater Festival and subsequently performed in Italy in Turin, Cuneo, and Bergamo. Currently, the group, which focuses on workshops and shared experiences, is working on a production of Witold Gombrowicz’s The Marriage (1948), scheduled for premiere in May 2026. In addition to creating performances, Tan Tan Teatro regularly promotes and offers workshops and theater training programs. After a period of activity at some Neighborhood Houses and community centers in the city of Turin (Public Baths on Via Agliè, Beeozanam), the group has concentrated its activities since 2025 at the multidisciplinary laboratory StudiumLab in Palazzo Nuovo (Department of Humanistic Studies, University of Turin).
