Tan Tan Teatro

The group brings together university students interested in theatre practice and sees theatre first and foremost as a space for training, exchange and collective creation, where stage work can intersect with research, the study of dramatic texts and experimentation.

In September 2024, Tan Tan Teatro began its production work with Macbett by Eugène Ionesco (1972), first presented in Lyon as part of the “Meraki” University Theatre Festival and subsequently performed in Italy in Turin, Cuneo and Bergamo. This first experience was followed by work on The Marriage by Witold Gombrowicz (1948), through which the group continued to explore the relationship between dramatic text, the actor’s work, stage space and the collective creation of a performance.

Alongside the creation of performances, Tan Tan Teatro develops and offers theatre workshops and training activities. After a period of activity at the Bagni Pubblici di Via Agliè and Beeozanam, since 2025 the group has carried out most of its activities at StudiumLab, Palazzo Nuovo, University of Turin.

Tan Tan Teatro’s work also develops through opportunities for exchange, training and collaboration with theatre, cultural and educational organisations outside the University.
